1 - Go to "wikipedia." Hit “random” or click www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random The first random wikipedia article you get is the name of your band.
2 - Go to "Random quotations" or click www.quotationspage.com/random.php3 The last four or five words of the very last quote of the page is the title of your first album.
3 - Go to flickr and open Explore drop down menu and choose 'creative commons'. Under the first one "Attribution License" click see more. Or go click here: www.flickr.com/creativecommons/by-2.0/ Into the search box, enter the fictitious song title gained in step 2 and the first picture, no matter what, will be your album cover.
Try and create a back cover with a list of songs, label, barcode etc too.
4 - Use photoshop or similar to put it all together. Remember to manipulate the image in photoshop.
When I completed these the band name I received from Wikipedia was Galaxy 25. The Song name was Where nowhere goes and the image from flickr was this:
When I had this I started to edit the cove in photoshop. Through this task I learnt how to manipulate different layers, work with transparent backgrounds, download and apply different fonts and work with font within photoshop in terms of rotation to suit my album. I also developed skills within image manipulation such as adjusting the saturation and hue levels and the liquify tools to manipulate the front image for the back cover. I took some smaller details such as barcode and record company from other albums. Overall I feel that this task has broadened my understanding of photoshop and I would feel more comfortable working with it in the future. Below is my finished album cover, back and front:
